A new innovation from software developers in England could herald the development of a wider range of finely crafted gold jewellery that perfectly fits the features of individual buyers.

Delcam has developed ArtCAM JewelSmith, a dedicated jewellery CADCAM software, that boasts a 3D 'face wizard' programme.

The firm behind it says this enables even a novice user to generate 3D models of human face profiles and match the jewellery accordingly

Users are guided through every stage of the design process, using an imported photo to produce the digital sculpture.

The technology is being hailed as a unique bespoke design package that can deliver unique pieces of jewellery to fit the individual.
