The golden tastes of the King of Rock and Roll have been laid bare after thieves stole a treasure trove worth more than $300,000.<BR/><BR/>Thieves broke in to the Elvis Presley museum and made off with a significant haul of golden goodies.<BR/><BR/>The great man's taste for gold included a number of precious rings as well as a gold-plated pistol, according to Rolling Stone magazine.<BR/><BR/>His large collection of gold jewellery was well known among fans, who flocked to the Las Vegas museum to see his trinkets.<BR/><BR/>Owner Chris Davidson, who opened the museum in 1999 after buying the gear from auctions, said he was "devastated", but said he had not given up hope of getting it back. <BR/><BR/>The museum houses more than 2,000 pieces of memorabilia.
