WGC releases gold reserve figuresFriday, 26th March 2004 (3371 views) Russia has the 14th largest gold reserves in the world according to new figures.The March 2004 results from the World Gold Council show that Russia's reserves are at 390.2 tonnes for this month, excluding gold use in swap deals. Reportedly gold reserves are at a level 0.5 per cent higher than in December 2003, according to the Bullion Desk. Other findings show that the US has the greatest reserves at 8,134 tonnes followed by Germany with 46.5 per cent of total gold reserves. Data is based on government information presented to the International Monetary Fund.
