Gold jewellery becoming bigger and bolder in ItalyTuesday, 30th March 2004 (4919 views) Latest trends in Italian jewellery are focusing on dominant designs and varying colours according to collections at a new show in Tuscany.Popular jewellery items include the use of long loopy chains and layered multicoloured gold strands as designs respond to current fashion trends in the country. New designs use the chains in Y-necklace styles, quality bracelets and three dimensional necklaces, according to National Jeweller. Italian gold jewellery is continuing to do well even though the country's current economy is not so positive. Additional jewellery themes include gold chain tassels and big bold pendants. Items range from being adorned with lacy gold to being finished off with semiprecious gemstones. The OroArezzo show will run in Tuscany until April 1.
