Monday, 26th April 2004 (7242 views) World famous auction house Christie's has gathered more than 475 lots of fine jewellery for its Magnificent Jewelry & Jadeite Jewelry auction in Hong Kong.<BR/><BR/>Taking place on April 27th, the sale includes a host of items set with the precious stone jadeite and features signed pieces from Bulgari, Cartier, Carvin French, Chanel, Graff, Harry Winston, Mikimoto, Tiffany & Co, Van Cleef & Arpels and Verdura. <BR/><BR/>The highlights include a 31.81-carat diamond briolette pendant necklace, the largest diamond briolette ever offered at an Asian auction, a large single-strand jadeite bead necklace and an extensive selection of jewellery being sold without reserve prices. <BR/><BR/>The sale also includes jewellery featuring coloured diamonds in colours such as pink, yellow, orange and blue-green. <BR/><BR/>"The Hong Kong sale is traditionally of great interest because it covers a wide range of tastes and types of jewellery," said Meg Bowen, Christie's Palm Beach-based regional director. "There are some spectacular diamonds included among the offerings, and for those with a fancy for jade jewellery, some very fine and rare pieces." <BR/><BR/>Sale price estimates range from a few hundred dollars to well above $1 million, Palm Beach Daily News reports. <BR/><BR/>Sotheby's is also holding a jewellery and jadeite auction on April 26th.
