Kyrgyzstan gold production results revealed

Gold production in Kyrgyzstan has increased by 24 per cent in the last four months.<BR/><BR/>According to latest figures year on year gold production grew to 7.768 tonnes from January to April.<BR/><BR/>Reportedly the growth is due to increased operations at the Kumtor mine.<BR/><BR/>Kyrgyzstan itself produced 460.2 kg and the Canadian Kyrgyz Kumtor Gold Company produced 7.308 tonnes of the precious metal, according to Yellowbrix.<BR/><BR/>The aide to the head of state-owned Kyrgyzstan, Asek Balabekov, explained that in 2004 as a whole Kyrgyzstan would produce 20,438 tonnes of gold.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=2645763"/>
