Gulf groups announce gold jewellery showroom dealMonday, 24th May 2004 (4951 views) A new multimillion-dirham agreement has been signed between two leading Dubai companies.The leading retail business group in the Gulf, EMKE Group, and the biggest 22-carat gold jewellery chain in the Gulf, Atlas Jewellery, have formed a leasing deal. Yusuf Ali M.A., managing director of EMKE Group told the Times of Oman: "When we decided to open Lulu Village, Muhaisinah, Dubai, we wanted to associate with Atlas Jewellery. The successful relationship has acted as a catalyst in extending our relationship to this long-term leasing agreement." Under the agreement, showrooms will be leased for Atlas Jewellery in a number of hypermarkets and centres across the Gulf to boost expansions plans being conducted by both companies. Work has already begun on the sites involved and Atlas is set to open the showrooms soon.
