Thursday, 24th June 2004 (4109 views)

Integrated watch and jewellery maker, Titan Industries, has forecast that its sales turnover for 2004 will increase by 19 per cent.

The company claims the growth would be created through its jewellery business and the setting up of a watch-manufacturing unit in Himachal Pradesh, according to Business Standard.

During 2003-04 the firm assigned R14 crore in investment, including R3.5 crore for the creation of a Greenfield project.

Results for the company saw Titan's watch sales increase by 18 per cent.

The company sells products under two brands Titan and Sonata and is so successful as each caters for both sectors of the market - upper and lower.

Titan has manufacturing units in Hosur (Karnataka), Ooty (Tamil Nadu) and Dehradun (Uttaranchal).
