US jewellers and jewellery designers have been showering celebrities with gold gifts at recent TV events.

At the American Idol finals in LA, finalists and judges were seen wearing jewellery from XIV Karats Ltd in Beverley Hills, given as a gift.

Winner of the pop talent show, Fantasia Barrino was seen wearing chandelier earrings and an eight-carat ring.

In addition all 12 finalists received 'Great Expectations', a white gold diamond star with a 14 carat yellow gold cutout.

Guest speakers at the recent Promax Conference for the television industry also received jewellery, wearing designs from Magally Lopez in New York.

Stars were seen with handcrafted 18 carat gold jewellery adorned with various stones or pearls.
