Vietnam will see the production of a new line of gold foil for the domestic market by next month, according to reports.

The Director of the Jewellery Company of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (AJC) said that the international standard gold foil was now set for production.

Director Nguyen Thanh Truc said that his firm would help to start production of the foil next week, with analysts anticipating it stabilising the domestic market.

The AJC-branded gold foil will join the existing foil products offered by the Saigon Jewellery Company, with the competition potentially holding back any price rises

The AJC says it is also nearly ready to establish Vietnam's first gold foil bonded warehouse at Noi Bai International Airport.
