Jewellery designer Hovey Lee has launched a new summer collection of gold and silver gems.

The Emeryville-based artist says the new collection is focussed on 'sporty glamour', appealing to a range of people.

"I make jewellery I'd wear in the office . . . my design has an up-to-date look but nothing too trendy or outrageous," she commented.

Ms Lee says she draws inspiration for her designs from Hong Kong and the mixture of east and western influences.

Earrings, bracelets and rings are all available, as well as a new 'Angela' necklace.

The Angela lariat is a 30-inch gold ball chain that is designed to hang down to the navel.
