Gold mining firm St Barbara Mines has revealed that in the three months to June it produced 5,029 ounces of gold.

The result was an increase of eight per cent from the previous quarter and saw 4,777 ounces of gold sold, according to Ample.

At present a review of the company's assets and liabilities is being conducted and progress on the review will be released accordingly.

In addition a maintenance and security check on the Paddy's Flat site is being conducted and refurbishment is planned as appropriate.
