Gold convention to discuss India's prospectsThursday, 19th August 2004 (2807 views) Experts in the gold sector are to come together in Mumbai next week to discuss key issues about the industry in India.'India Gold Convention 2004' will look at India's prospects as an emerging market for the precious metal worldwide and the investment opportunities created by it. The event is being organised by Bangalore's Foretell Business Solutions and supported by the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA), with the World Gold Council also set to attend. President of BBA, Suresh Hundia said: "Convention is timely and appropriate as India emerges as one of the robust and fastest growing economies in the world. The demand for gold and jewellery from both domestic and international markets is very strong. "However, we need to continually evolve and innovate to establish our leadership in this industry." Experts are also set to discuss supply and demand for gold globally, as well as price outlook and trends in the jewellery sector.
