Tuesday, 31st August 2004 (6513 views) The latest Gap campaign being spearheaded by cultural icon Sarah Jessica Parker - of Sex and the City fame - could provide a shot in the arm for the jewellery industry.<BR/><BR/>The US TV star has completed filming for the retail giant's Autumn 2004 advertising campaign, with the fashion guru given free rein to offer examples of her own style.<BR/><BR/>According to the National Jeweler this incorporated a number of pieces taken from Gap's new range, which were mixed with dozens of pieces of jewellery.<BR/><BR/>The actress dons more than $10 million in estate and antique jewels from Fred Leighton in the advertising campaign, with analysts hoping the popular star will spark a number of new trends.<BR/> <BR/>A few style traits featured in the ads have already been identified - such as the addition of multiple brooches at the hip, and large sparkling jewels.<BR/><BR/>With the star widely credited with popularising 'namesake' necklaces and other jewellery - bearing the wearer's own name or initials - jewellers could be paying close attention the new promotional slots.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3316482"/>
