Bangkok's gem and jewellery event competing internationallyWednesday, 15th September 2004 (4418 views) The Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair is proving to offer more diversity and organisation this year and running as more of an international event.This year is the 34th edition of the fair and it has added more fine jewellery exhibitors and offering buyers a place to find a wide range of jewellery services and high-end jewellery. There are now more than 1,000 exhibitors taking part in the show, with 30,000 gem and jewellery buyers expected to attend, according to JCK. Whereas in previous years exhibits were organised on a single floor there are now different halls, with one 'Hall 5' dedicated to gold jewellery and 'Halls 6 and 7' focusing on gold and silver exhibitors. The fair began on September 12 and ends tomorrow, situated at the Impact Center on the outskirts of the city.
