Hollywood stars' gold jewellery helps US charitiesThursday, 30th September 2004 (5411 views) A new programme has been launched to allow individuals to donate fine jewellery to a charity of their choice.The Kazanjian Foundation is the charitable branch of jewellery firm Kazanjian Bros and has helped promote 'Jewels for Charity'. To help raise awareness of the scheme a 'Decades of Hollywood Glamour' event was held at Rodeo Drive in Tallarico Designs, full of top gold jewellery for donation. Actress Kate Linder, star of 'The Young and the Restless' donated a Rhonda Faber-Green 18 carat yellow gold and platinum rose necklace and songwriter Carol Connors donated a gold and diamond necklace. The Museum collection includes a host of pieces such as Clark Gable's 18 carat gold Cartier wristwatch and his 14 carat yellow gold cigarette case. Further pieces in the special collection include items owned by Eva Gabor, Bing Crosby and Madonna.
