Thursday, 14th October 2004 (5892 views)

Swiss watchmaker Longines has opened its first store in the Middle East and has marked the event with an amazing exhibition.

The boutique has been opened in partnership with the Dubai-based Rivoli Group, and is based in the newly extended BurJuman Centre in Dubai.

Walter Von K nel, President of Longines, told AME Info: "We have seen an increase in demand for elegant watches in the region, and this new, dedicated Longines boutique is the next phase of our expansion into the Middle East, further demonstrating Longines' sensitivity to the needs of local customers."

Longines has showcased 68 stunning timepieces in the expo, after being known as one of the largest importers and retailers of luxury watches for over 16 years.

The new boutique will specialise in higher-end jewellery and gold pieces.

After the launch in Dubai, the watch collection is going to tour other shopping malls in the UAE and then visit Lebanon and Bahrain.
