The Jewels of India expo has now begun, helping to celebrate the diversity of jewellery art and to display and sell gold and fine jewellery.<BR/><BR/>Running for four days, many women in the country wait all year for the event, which takes place at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bangalore.<BR/><BR/>Also attending the event is Pia Trivedi from Mumbai - the face of the event's campaign this year, according to the Star of Mysore.<BR/><BR/>Jewels of India is co-sponsored by the World Gold Council, Jewellers Association, Bangalore and is organised by Expoworld.<BR/><BR/>Visitors were expected from a selection of different areas and a nearby school grounds were being used as a car park to make things easier for people.<BR/><BR/>Some items of jewellery have premiered for the first time at the event.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3644498"/>
