A new type of wedding ceremony is taking place in India, where the bride and groom are blessed by gods.

Held by the Azad Dramatic club, the couple also get given gifts such as gold jewellery to commemorate the ceremony.

The gods of course are not real but are played by actors who offer something a little bit different and special to the traditional ceremony.

Two weddings that were held this weekend were attended by hundreds as they all wanted to witness the special event.

The club claims it plans similar weddings for next year.
