Thursday, 21st October 2004 (4580 views) Canadian exploration companies King's Bay Gold Corp and Richview Resources have announced strong assay results from their Pickle Lake Project Stage 1 diamond drill programme.<BR/><BR/>The project, located near the town of Pickle Lake, Ontario, consists of a total of 12,880 acres and a large section close to the Dona Lake Mine, Central Patricia and Pickle Crow which produced 212,000 ounces, 650,000 ounces and 1,446,000 ounces of gold respectively.<BR/><BR/>Numerous gold showings have been identified within the land, as well as significant historical drill intercepts and mine shafts and the diamond drill holes have cut numerous gold bearing structures at or near surface that may be amenable to open pit mining<BR/><BR/>Joint venture partners King's Bay Gold and Richview Resources claim that a $500,000 Stage II exploration programme is to commence immediately, following the promising drill results.<BR/><BR/>King's Bay is also currently presenting its Headway 2004 project results to other companies with the intention of securing a suitable partner to assist in exploring the Headway Red Lake gold mining property further.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3672789"/>
