A Vietnamese jewellery group is celebrating after securing a new contract that will allow it to expand into the German market.

Phu Nhuan Jewellery (PNJ) Company has won the $326,000 deal whereby it will export 14,000 jewellery products to the German market.

According to Voice of Vietnam, the jewellery will include rings, necklaces and earrings made of eight to 18 carat gold.

Deputy general director at the company, Nguyen Thi Cuc, claims that since July the business has increased its export activities.

PNJ now earns around $1 million, around four times more than it was earning in the same period last year.
