Kansai increases gold resourcesThursday, 28th October 2004 (3206 views) Kansai Mining Corporation has announced that work at its Migori gold project is going well.According to the company, the gold resources for the project have risen from 750,000 ounces to 1,238,000 ounces. The increased gold resources are the result of a completion of a drilling programme that took place in the second quarter of this year, according to The Nation. Results from the study have been independently reviewed and the main areas of interest were four previously known mineralisation areas - Kakula-Kalange-Munyu, Gori Maria, the MK zone and Nyanza. Further drilling is now planned to include all four zones, other gold bearing prospects and a programme in Macalder.
