Friday, 26th November 2004 (6978 views) Mineral exploration company Fjordland Exploration has announced its assay results from the first hole of its current drill programme.

The work at the Woodjam porphyry project in central British Columbia revealed a host of gold, with some near to the surface.

New results are particularly significant since the hole drilled was at right angles to holes drilled in the first phase and have considerably expanded the mineralised zone and its depth.

Further results are still being processed and drilling is continuing at the site based on the Quesnel Trough belt.

Fjordland has mining interests in six gold-silver properties in Nevada and California and a 60 per cent earning option on the Woodjam gold-copper project.
