Wednesday, 19th January 2005 (4364 views) Donald Trump will be joining the many luxury consumers who are moving towards gold as a status symbol.<br/><br/>In his wedding this Saturday gold will be featuring as part of the visual theme in the ballroom which he has had especially build at Mar-a-Lago, his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.<br/><br/>The Associated Press says the room is in the ornate Louis XIV style with a visual theme of "white, gold and jewellery meaning diamonds".<br/><br/>His bride-to-be, Melania Knauss, will be wearing a Christian Dior dress. Dior is one of the many high-end designers who are now incorporating gold into their collections.<br/><br/>The World Gold Council said on Monday that many high-end consumers are moving towards gold not just because of its cosmetic value, but because its strong market performance also makes it a good investment.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7600535"/>
