Tuesday, 25th January 2005 (6062 views) A new book has been released which could lead its readers to real gold.<br/><br/>'A Treasure's Trove', released in bookshops in America just before Christmas, is a fairytale with a difference, including a real-life treasure hunt where people can win prizes worth a total of £530,000.<br/><br/>A total of twelve 18 carat gold coins have been hidden across various locations in the US and each piece displays one of the characters from the book, according to the Independent.<br/><br/>Once people discover a coin, they can turn it over to find a special phone number, which when they phone it they will receive a special piece of jewellery resembling one of the creatures.<br/><br/>Items are not novelty plastic pieces either, all of them are made from either gold or platinum and many feature diamonds or rubies.<br/><br/>Michael Stradther, the creator of the story, went to a top jewellery-making studio in Connecticut to produce the pieces.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7642162"/>
