Friday, 18th February 2005 (5695 views) A new exhibition, held in Melbourne, is showcasing the latest in contemporary jewellery, with rings the main focus.<br/><br/>Karl Fritsch was classically trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, but has been focusing on contemporary jewellery for 18 years, according to the Age.<br/><br/>In the exhibition he combines diamonds, rubies, sapphires, gold and silver, but with innovative creations and designs.<br/><br/>The Rings exhibition places precious materials in a contemporary content, with one ruby ring set in gold, but placed horizontally and partially covered by gold.<br/><br/>A total of 50 rings are displayed in the exhibition.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7829686"/>
