Osbourne star criticises US airport workers

Monday, 28th February 2005 (4643 views)

Jack Osbourne has criticised airport staff in America, after the theft of his jewellery was blamed on baggage workers.

The 19 year old was told by police that they suspected an airport worker had stolen the jewellery after seeing it on an x-ray machine.

Mr Osbourne told Sky Showbiz: "They're supposed to be on the front lines of national security and they're stealing stuff. It's sickening."

The star, who recently overcame his fears on a reality TV show, explained how important the £200,000 worth of jewellery had been to him.

"I had a lot of jewellery. A Rolex, a Harry Winston watch, a Franck Muller watch, cufflinks and a necklace my dad gave me," he said.

According to reports, he had been flying to the UK to film rehearsals of a new television show Celebrity Wrestling, which he is set to host.
