Gold items and jewellery are on display at the sixth International Shillong Trade Fair this week.

Traders from south and south-east Asian countries have taken part in the ten-day business event, which started on March 16th.

Items include gold pieces from Burma and jewellery from Bangladesh, according to Mizima News.

"The highlight of the trade fair will be an array of specialized items from foreign countries, said Rajesh Das, vice president of the fair's organisers, the Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam.
