Tuesday, 29th March 2005 (6022 views) A new jewellery collection has been released by gold jewellery designer Alpana Gurjal.<br/><br/>The jeweller hopes to appeal to men, although male jewellery is already popular in India, the "metrosexual era" is set to boost sales even further.<br/><br/>Ms Gurjal told Delhi Newsline about the collection: "Not chains, because I don't like chains on men.<br/><br/>"But things like cufflinks and buttons for kurtas and bandhgalas."<br/><br/>The new collection features items for both men and women, with pieces all having a contemporary design.<br/><br/>Many of the pieces contain semi precious gems and "coloured stones", with relatives of the designer attending its launch to model various pieces.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8146401"/>
