Australian mining firm Zambezi Resources has announced that sampling at the Mwomboshi project in Zambia has revealed gold.

According to results from the sampling the potential for shear hosted gold mineralisation is evident.

To help obtain the results a 600-metre strike length of the shear was sampled and gold mineralisation was suggested along the entire length.

Results showed assays of up to 124.16 grams a tonne of gold.

In addition, stream sediment sampling indicated the presence of additional quartz veins, which will need follow up sampling the upcoming season.
