Friday, 22nd April 2005 (4221 views) Polymetal has announced its first quarter results today, with gold output up by 60 per cent compared to last year.<br/><br/>According to the Russian miner, the volume of precious metals produced have put the company as one of the leading producers in Russia.<br/><br/>Gold output in the first quarter 2005 reached 1,601 kg, with an increase in production capacity thought to have boosted output.<br/><br/>Production capacity increased at the Khakanjinskoye deposit in the Khabarovsk territory and stage two production began at the Vorontsovskoye deposit in the Sverdlovsk region.<br/><br/>Polymetal was set up in 1998 and it aims to create a long-term and economically effective system of precious metal production.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8333571"/>
