Monday, 23rd May 2005 (5735 views) A gold ring once owned by Nazi war criminal, Hermann Goering, has been put up for auction in New Zealand.<br/><br/>However the sale was delayed, despite strong interest, since parties have been struggling to ascertain its value, according to NZPA.<br/><br/>The gold signet ring is covered in Nazi regalia and comes with a certificate of authenticity.<br/><br/>It is thought the ring was made by jeweller, Professor Herbert Zeitner, in 1942.<br/><br/>The ring was then confiscated by the US Army when Hermann Goering was surrendered in Austria in 1945.<br/><br/>He was a leading Nazi that founded the Gestapo and set up the first concentration camps.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8569472"/>
