Wednesday, 25th May 2005 (6513 views) The opening of the new flagship Judith Ripka store in New York earlier this month reportedly drew crowds of jewellery fans.<br/><br/>The store was completed by New York interior designer Tristan Harstan and architect James D'Auria and incorporates exclusive furniture designed by Harstan and Nancy Corzine.<br/><br/>The opening also marked the launch of Ripka's Couture Collection, which combines matte 18-carat gold with rare gemstones.<br/><br/>Design details at the new 1,200-square-foot Madison Avenue include textured mirrors and custom lighting, Interior Design reports. Wallcoverings include hand-painted silk by De Gournay of London, while the Murano glass chandelier has been created by Lorin Marsh.<br/><br/>The shop's designs features details like individually crafted custom-made jewellery displays, and mirrors with textured, sculpted-looking surfaces, mimicking the jewellery designs.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8587096"/>
