Clinton goes jewellery shopping in IndiaFriday, 27th May 2005 (4912 views) The former president of America, Bill Clinton, has been seen shopping for jewellery in India on a recent trip.Among the items viewed by him were a 22-carat Ladakhi gold necklace studded with rubies and a semi-precious stone-studded necklace and cufflinks. As part of the shopping trip Mr Clinton was looking for jewellery for his daughter Chelsea and was said to be very careful with his choice. He told Times of India: "She's very particular about what jewellery she likes." On viewing a suitable gold necklace, he said: "I'll take this and let her choose the rest when she comes to India." Reports revealed Mr Clinton spent nearly an hour shopping for Indian artefacts and jewellery.
