White gold glamourises new laptop

Tuesday, 31st May 2005 (3274 views)

A new piece of technology has been created featuring solid white gold plates and diamonds.

The Tulip E-Go Diamond notebook will be released in Europe in October and will cost €283,000, according to Gizmag.

Interchangeable covers and features also allow the user to make their laptop look even more innovative, with the product being marketed as a fashion accessory.

Huub van den Boogaard, founder of Tulip Distribution International Holding (TDIH), said: "Tulip has identified a growing tendency towards design needs within the computer industry.

"The ordinary computer has evolved from a specialty product to a commodity product. Competition in the computer market is driven by specifications and price, with a growing demand of users willing to pay a premium for a personalised design computer."

TDIH has worked with Inclosia for the project to help bring an element of fashion to the devices.track
