Dasher to breathe life into historic Klondike mine

Wednesday, 22nd June 2005 (2885 views)

The historic Klondike mine in Yukon Territory, Canada is to be given a new lease of life as Dasher Exploration announces a new drilling programme.

Dasher Exploration's Klondike property encompasses approximately 100 acres in the north-west of the Klondike goldfields, near Dawson City.

The company acquired an option on the property at Klondike, which has historically produced at least 13 million ounces of placer gold, in January this year.

A new 10,000 foot rotary percussion drilling programme on the 20 quartz mining claims will give Klondike, which has not produced gold for many years, the chance to offer more placer gold.

Dasher Exploration believes that research carried out by the claims' previous owner, geologist Jim McFaull, present an excellent exploration target for the source of the placer gold once mined from the area.track
