Capital Hill Gold acquires Smokey Valley deposit

Wednesday, 29th June 2005 (3225 views)

Capital Hill Gold has acquired the Smokey Valley gold deposit in Nevada, USA.

Covering eight unpatented lode-mining claims, the Smokey valley deposit encompasses the core of a much larger gold project previously staked by a major gold mining property.

Never having drilled the property, that company allowed the claims to lapse after twp years. Capital Hill now plans to begin immediate exploration work.

Field observations of the Smokey Valley project have identified both upper and lower plate rocks and jasperiods which, in conjunction with geochemical and geophysical work, suggest that the area could host a major gold deposit, according to Capital Hill.

A nearby high-grade underground gold mine was developed previously, to about 600 metres of underground workings.

Capital Hill stated that it is targeting a Sleeper-type gold deposit.track
