Gold jewellery is to feature heavily in a two hour QVC television special, according to the National Jeweller.

To mark the one-year anniversary of its "Latin Treasures" jewellery line, QVC will feature several interesting designs.

Highlights include pieces from the collection's designer, Rene Bargueiras, and several new pieces.

The Latin Treasures collection will target Hispanic consumers, showcasing designs to celebrate Hispanic culture and events.

Pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings will be available in 14-karat yellow, two-tone and tri-colour gold.

"As a member of the Latin community, I understand the value and significance that gold jewellery represents within our culture, especially to those who are immigrants to the United States, as I am," Bargueiras said.
