The popular Indian film star Bappi Lahiri has announced his plans to develop a jewellery line.<br/><br/>The veteran of more than 450 films has a penchant for all things bling and is famed for sporting ostentatious gold jewellery.<br/><br/>Mr Lahiri claims to have started the trend for all things bling.<br/><br/>"I started the trend almost 30 years ago when I got into the industry. My inspiration, however, was Elvis Presley who sported a huge cross chain," he told the Times of India.<br/><br/>Several jewellery brands have reportedly approached him to front their campaigns but he would prefer to front his own line, according to Express India.<br/><br/>Mr Lahiri's latest venture is as the host on a music-related reality show.<br/><br/><img alt="logo" src='http://feeds.directnews.org.uk/feedtrack/logo.gif?feedid=196&itemid=15028434'/><br/>© Adfero Ltd
