Meena Jewellers is today opening what it claims is India's largest jewellery store, bringing its total number of retail outlets to three.

According to Web India 123, the store, located in the Punjagutta area of Hyderabad, boasts 15,000sqft of floor space and spreads over several levels to provide customers with an array of products in various precious metals.

In order to celebrate its opening, the company will be flying over an exclusive line of Cartier watches from Paris. Other major watch brands such as Chopard and Piaget will also be on sale, some of which will incorporate precious stones.

The company's chairman and managing director, Umesh Jethwani, said that the gold would be 916 KDM and fully authenticated by a hallmark.

Meena Jewellers, a subsidiary of the Meena Bazaar Group, plans to open another store in January of next year.

Earlier this month, the group launched a new 2005 fashion collection in Chennai.
