Dubai's upcoming Watch and Jewellery show is tipped to be big, following strong gold jewellery sales in the UAE.

Recent figures show that the UAE achieved sales of gold and diamond jewellery totalling $272 million during the festive season.

This is the 11th annual show, which will this year feature a designer piazza comprising of 12 cutting edge collections drawn from around the globe.

Trade seminars will be running, including one led by the Diamond Trading Company on local market knowledge and opportunity, while another feature will be a diamond day.

Last year's event could boast 454 exhibitors, a 102 per cent increase on the previous year.

Watch and Jewellery Dubai will take place from December 5th to 9th at the Airport Expo in Dubai.
