Monday, 19th December 2005 (5872 views) Singapore-based gold-plated gift maker Risis has announced plans to extend its footprint in Malaysia, the Business Times reports.The company touched down in Malaysia last year but has announced plans to open two further outlets and appoint six distributors in the country. The expansion plans have been prompted by hot demand for Risis' products. The company produces gold jewellery and accessories and tops business gifts and home décor items with 24-carat gold and rhodium. "We are on the right course. Malaysias economy is very buoyant and it augurs well for our expansion road map," Rsis Edgar NG told Business Times. Risis has opened two fully-owned stores in Malaysia since it entered the country in December 2004. It also sells through a BP de Silva store in Penang. The company also intends to open a local factory if it continues to encounter strong demand. Risis focuses on retail customers, although it is also reporting strong demand in the commercial market.
