Gold prices streamed live to website

Tuesday, 31st January 2006 (4572 views)

A leading precious metals website has begun streaming real-time gold prices from the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

As from yesterday (January 30th), visitors to the bulliondesk.com have been able to access free-to-view feeds of all the latest developments in the Dubai gold markets.

Fast Track, which operates the bulliondesk.com, explained that the consistently strong price of gold over the past four years had fuelled interest in the precious metal.

"This brings a new level of gold price transparency in these exciting and fast moving markets and will enhance Dubai's position as the regional provider of gold market information," Fast Track's joint managing director Ross Norman said in relation to the feed.

Dominic Hall, also joint managing director, thanked Standard Bank Dubai and DGCX for sponsoring the site.

Fast Track describes itself as the leading provider of online commodity market information.

The DGCX began trading on November 22nd 2005, making it the world's youngest online commodities exchange.
