Tiffany eyes Austrian marketThursday, 16th February 2006 (4024 views) Tiffany & Co is to open a new store in Vienna this autumn.The new 2,400 square foot store will offer Tiffany collections that include engagement diamonds set in platinum and 18-carat gold, as well as other jewellery and watches. Also on sale in the two-storey boutique will be signature designs by luminaries such as Frank Gehry and Paloma Picasso. The store will open in the Kohlmarkt district, one of the Austrian capital's premier shopping areas. Cesare Settepassi, the vice president of Tiffany & Co Europe, said: "We look forward to opening our first store in Austria in the beautiful city of Vienna." "We expect to build strong and enduring relationships with residents and the many tourists drawn to this gracious and historic city." He went on to note that the store's location not only "respects the area's architectural heritage", but also perfectly positions the company to introduce its own heritage of "quality, craftsmanship and superior service". Tiffany & Co operates retail stores across America, Asia-Pacific and Europe.
