Gold necklace awaits pageant queenThursday, 16th February 2006 (4169 views) A gold necklace will be won by the victor of the Jr Miss Clawson Pageant, to be held at Clawson High School in Michigan on February 24th.The lucky winner will walk away with a white gold tanzanite and diamond necklace, along with matching earrings, a $200 US saving bond and a trophy, crown and sash. Awards will also be given to the winners of other categories such as Best Actress and Miss Congeniality. The contestants, aged between 12 and 14, expressed various reasons for wanting to win the prestigious Jr Miss Clawson Pageant crown. Amber Griffin, 14, said: "I want to make a difference in Clawson in any way that I can, and I would like to set a good mature example for my peers." Beth Oller, 13 years old and a keen volunteer, says that she wants "to encourage more young people to start volunteering to make a difference in their communities".
