WJA members talk trends at annual knees-upThursday, 16th February 2006 (3978 views) The Women's Jewellery Association's (WJA) Los Angeles Chapter will hold its annual knees-up next week.The WJA was founded to help women in the watch and jewellery industry exchange ideas and the event will represent a great chance for networking. "It's the perfect time to catch up after the holidays and the first trade shows of the year and to share your plans for 2006," said Veronica Clark-Hudson, co-president of WJA-LA. The Mix 'n Mingle event will be held on February 22nd at the Spark Woodfire Grill. Tickets cost $40, with a $10 discount for members who have booked ahead. Non-members are also welcome. Attendees will have plenty to chat about over their hors d'oeuvres after this season's gold and jewellery trends were debuted at a number of trade events. The JA New York Winter Show was held at the end of January, attracting 5,000 buyers from up and down the country. The WJA was founded in 1983 and runs a scholarship fund for women in the jewellery industry. It also holds two national meetings and a national awards ceremony each year.
