A new gold pendant has been created by designer Jane Taylor in honour of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's 2006 MS Walk in New York, the National Jeweler reports.

The pendant, which bears the "sneaker logo" mark of the MS walk, is available in 18-carat gold or sterling silver.

It can be bought at Frank Adams Jewelers on May 13th, when the store will play host to a special event, or pre-ordered at the walk on May 7th.

Ms Taylor prides herself on creating unique pieces and her pieces have garnered many prestigious awards in the US. She believes that "the beauty of jewellery is that it is a universal tool, used to communicate designs in many different ways".

"For me, jewellery combines the art and the heart; it is my favourite creative passion. I love the sparkle and beams of energy that radiate from gorgeous and intense gemstones," she said.
