Boxxer expands gold zoneTuesday, 18th April 2006 (2697 views) Canadian mineral exploration company Boxxer Gold Corp has announced the expansion of the Yellowhorse gold mineralization zone at the Boss property in Nevada. The zone ranges from 4.6 metres to 37 metres in the open cut area, while the average gold grade is 1.18g/t. In one area there is a higher grade section that averages 1.63g/t. The best grade gold is hosted by strong iron and copper-stained hematite gossans. Nine surface trenches were cut, sampled and mapped as part of the program. Spacing of the new trenches ranged from nine to 15 metres inside the open cut area and from 54 to 79 metres outside that area. The next stage to be carried out by Boxxer is to include a diamond drilling program that will extend to 10,000 feet. This will test the down-dip and lateral extent of the gold zone that has been identified. Boxxer is a Canadian exploration company focused predominantly on high-value gold projects to develop in the near-term.
