Friday, 21st April 2006 (6297 views) UK supermarket giant, Tesco, has announced that it will begin selling gold wedding and engagement rings from as little as £47.The new range of jewellery comes in a variety of forms, starting with a diamond solitaire ring, which consists of a 0.1-carat stone in a 9-carat gold band. A spokesman for Tesco said: "We are working with the best suppliers and the new range has been doing really well." The most expensive of the new products is an 18-carat gold ring that comes with a one-carat diamond, which will sell in-store for £1,297. So far, 26 Tesco outlets across the country are stocking the range, which is said to be becoming a popular choice with customers of the low-cost supermarket chain.
