Tuesday, 25th April 2006 (3911 views) In one of the first of what is likely to be many "special edition" items to mark the 18th football World Cup Finals tournament in Germany this summer, Toshiba have unveiled what is perhaps one of the most striking. The Toshiba Dynabook TX 2006 FIFA World Cup Edition laptop is a gold-plated computer, bearing an inscription of the trophy on the case along with the names of all the host countries and the eventual winners of each tournament. The specifications of the actual computer itself are rated highly by industry observers. A Duo Core T2300 processor, with a speed of 1.6Ghz, along with 512MB RAM and an 80GB hard drive make the new Toshiba an impressive machine, both inside and out. The Dynabook is the latest in a long-running range from the Japanese manufacturers and the company hopes it will be a success in jumping on the World Cup bandwagon as it picks up steam ready for the big kick-off in 45 days time.
